Adult Book Discussion Groups

The Holbrook Public Library has two book discussion groups, which meet at the Library. The discussion groups are led by staff members of the Library.

The Evening Book Discussion group meets once a month, generally on the first Thursday of the month.
Start time is 7:00 p.m.

The selection for Thursday, October 2nd is "Peony in Love" by Lisa See.

The Daytime Book Discussion group meets once a month, generally on the third Tuesday of the month. Start time is 1:30 p.m.

The selection for Tuesday, October 21st is "The Berlin Conspiracy" by Tom Gabbay

New members are always welcome. Pre-registration is not necessary. The book to be read each month is chosen by the group leader with input from the group participants.

Books are borrowed from other Old Colony Library Network Libraries and are distributed at each book group for the next session. Each participant can check out a copy on his or her own library card. Copies of books for the next session are also available at the circulation desk.

The group leader provides photocopies of reviews of the book for the group participants. Biographical information about the author whose work will be discussed is also provided. For more information and to confirm times: call Carolyn Elkort, Adult Service Librarian at 781-767-3644 or celkort@ocln.org
